Retro-Commissioning Program (with ComEd)
Through this partnership with ComEd, commercial and industrial customers can receive help retro-commissioning their buildings. Retro-commissioning refers to the practice of boosting energy efficiency by maximizing existing systems in a building.
Payback on these projects is usually excellent, often less than 18 months. Additionally retro-commissioning can extend equipment life, provide valuable training for facility staff and address indoor air quality and comfort issues.
Items addressed by retro-commissioning include but aren't limited to:
- Variable frequency drives on fans and pumps
- Lighting schedules
- Condenser water temperature resets
- Sensor calibrations
- Supply fan rescheduling
- Supply air temperature resets
- Pump scheduling
- Actuator cycling
