For each customer's billing period,
North Shore Gas will post billing information
(billing period dates, usage and type of meter read) in
PEGASys® for the Choices for YouSM
supplier to calculate their appropriate charges.
Dual Billing Option The customer will receive one bill from the supplier for their charges and one bill from North Shore Gas for delivery and service charges.
LDC Billing Option The customer will receive one bill. Suppliers will submit their charges to North Shore Gas and these charges will be added to and displayed on the bill.
Low Income Heating Assistance Program Income-eligible residential customers can apply for and receive federal grant funds payable toward their utility bills. LDC billing suppliers will have available funds automatically applied to customer balances. Suppliers participating in other billing options will have to submit claims for payments.
Municipal Taxes Customers who purchase their gas supply service from North Shore Gas pay a Municipal Utility Tax equal to 8.24% on all dollars collected for utility service.
