Per ICC regulations, the due dates for bills issued by
North Shore Gas (and other Illinois regulated
utilities) are:
21 days after the billing date for residential accounts
14 days after the billing date for non-residential accounts
31 days for special accounts (customers with exceptional circumstances such as
welfare or Social Security recipients)
45 or 60 days for certain governmental accounts
If payment is not received by the due date, customers are normally charged a Late
Payment Charge (LPC) of 1.5% of the unpaid bill before taxes (not inclusive of
Supplier Charges).
