Whether you rent or own your home, or whether you use natural gas for heat or cooking, you're
probably concerned about your energy bills. At North Shore Gas we want you to be safe and feel comfortable with
the energy we deliver to you. We also want to make sure you know your options as a natural gas customer and how to better manage
your energy costs this winter.
Bill Payment Assistance
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
Administered by the Community Action Partnership of Lake County (CAPOLC), LIHEAP provides financial assistance to help income-eligible customers
pay their energy bills.
Customers are encouraged to call 847-249-4330 or go to the CAPOLC website to apply.
If customers are having difficulty paying their bill, we will work with them to arrange a payment plan.
Share the Warmth
Administered for North Shore Gas by the Community Action Partnership of Lake County (CAPOLC),
Share the Warmth provides heating grants to income-eligible customers.
Eligible customers can receive grants of up to $200 on their bills.
Customers are encouraged to call 847-249-4330 or go to the CAPOLC website to apply.
If customers are having difficulty paying their bill, we will work with them to arrange a payment plan.
Deposits
Deposits for qualifying income-eligible customers will be waived.
Payment plans
Residential customers who have fallen behind on their bills are eligible for a payment arrangement.
Short-term payment plans are available for 18 months with a 25% down payment.
Budget Billing
Budget Billing spreads out seasonal variations in your energy bill over 12 months.
While you still pay for all of the energy you actually use, Budget Billing gives you more consistent monthly bills.

Help others stay warm
You can help those in your community stay warm this winter by donating to Share the Warmth, an energy
assistance program. The program, funded by company and customer contributions, is administered by the Community Action Partnership of Lake County
(CAPOLC) and provide grants of up to $200 to customers who need assistance with energy bill payments.
