The Community Action Partnership of Lake County is taking Share the Warmth applications via phone at 847-249-4330.
If customers are having difficulty paying their bill, we will work with them to
arrange a payment plan.
Administered for North Shore Gas by the Community Action Partnership of Lake County, Share the Warmth provides heating grants to limited and fixed-income households. Eligible customers can receive grants of up to $200 on their bills.
How can I apply for a Share the Warmth grant?
Call the Community Action Partnership of Lake County at 847-249-4330 to make an appointment to apply. Applicants are required to submit:
- Proof of household income or any financial assistance for the past 30 days for all members of the household over 18; and
- Your current residential heating bill
Who is eligible?
North Shore Gas customers who are having trouble paying their bills and meet the following household income guidelines may be eligible for a grant.

The State of Illinois has created a new website to allow residents to pre-apply.
Customers can fill out information on the website and it will be forwarded to the appropriate agency.
